1. Overview

At LIFE Memorial Care, we are committed to providing respectful, high-quality memorial care services. This policy outlines your rights regarding cancellations and refunds in accordance with UK consumer law.

2. Cancellation Rights (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

For services booked online, by phone, or via email, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of booking, provided the service has not yet been carried out.

If you request that the service begins within the 14-day cancellation period, you acknowledge that:

  • You may lose your right to a full refund once the service has been completed.

  • If partial work has been carried out, you may be charged proportionally for work already completed.

3. One-Time Services
Cancellations
  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled service will receive a full refund.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled service may be non-refundable.

After Service Completion

Once a service has been completed and photo confirmation provided, refunds are generally not issued unless there is a verified issue with service quality.

4. Subscription Plans

(e.g., Quarterly Care, Annual Peace Plan)

Monthly Plans:

  • You may cancel at any time.

  • Cancellation will stop future payments.

  • No refunds are provided for services already completed.

Annual Plans:

  • You may cancel at any time.

  • Refunds for unused future services may be issued on a pro-rata basis, minus any completed visits or incurred costs.

5. Missed or Delayed Services

Services may be delayed due to:

  • Severe weather conditions

  • Cemetery access restrictions

  • Unforeseen circumstances beyond our control

In such cases:

  • The visit will be rescheduled at no extra cost.

  • Refunds will not be issued for weather-related delays unless rescheduling is not possible.

6. Dissatisfaction with Service

If you are not satisfied with a service, you must notify us within 7 days of receiving photo confirmation.

Where appropriate, we may offer:

  • A complimentary revisit

  • A partial refund

  • A goodwill resolution at our discretion

7. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be provided where:

  • Incorrect grave location details were supplied by the client

  • Access to the cemetery was restricted

  • Damage existed prior to service

  • Services were delayed due to circumstances outside our control

8. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 working days using the original payment method where possible.
